Tune “of the echo” (remote trumpet sound, the shepherds, an angel).
This Christmas carol has been published on 1669 in the 2nd book. It appears with number 14 in the Fr. Seguin’s new edition.

2. Ecò : in Greek mythology, Echo is the nymph of Springs and Forests, who personifies the echo.
