La Fillo amé la maire (The Daughter with her Mother) Traditional song from Guillaumes, County of Nice.
Within the text of this humorous song written in gavot (i.e. in nissart from the hinterland), the endings “o” –fillo, premièro jarbo, jouvenetto, pauro vieio– are the feminine marks of this language.
The theme of the man shared between the daughter and the mother is also encountered exactly in L’Ome e lo Gran.
