 At the cinema “Terrace Street”
There are lice of all qualities
And fleas of all breeds,
Over there you can find.
There are also women fishmongers
Going in this cinema
To catch two or three fleas
And also to bring several of them.

Chorus
En avau ai segoundi
Ni a de belli roundi
E aqueli dai prumié banc
Semblon touti de gros tavan.
En avau ai prumièra
Li a li plus belli nièra ;
Li a finda de lingoustà,
     Au Peoui cinema.
 Over there at second-classes
There are beautiful and round
And the ones of the first benches
All look like big horseflies.
Over there at first-classes
There are the most beautiful fleas;
There are also grasshoppers,
     At the verminous cinema

2nd verse
Li a finda de belli pichouna
Que van en aquèu cinema :

La Feraia, e cetera.
Qu si gratta pi la testa,
Qu si farfouilla li chivus,
S’aganton una grossa bestia,
L’escrason sus lou prospetus !
 Thera are also pretty girls
Going in this cinema:
Bado, Rasquetta, la Talouna,
The “Scrap Iron”, and so on.
Whoever scratches his head,
Whoever rummages in his hair,
They catch a big beast,
Crush it on the leaflet (1)!

Chorus
Ni a sus la balustrada
Que fan la resquihada.
D’autri s’en van sus lou piano
Per li faire un pichin tango.
Li si vé li chatella

     Au Peoui cinema.

Li marinièra cridon : « Oua bachas ! »
 Could you see the walls:
There are very beautiful memories.
Star stains of... mustard
Look like the Bridge of Sighs!
When they play a beautiful drama,
Women blow their nose.
Let listen all that shouting,
The women fishmongers shout: “Ow! quagmire!”

Chorus
Aquèu que fa la musica
Dòu còu s’avala la chica ;
Lou mestre, plus mouort que viéu,
Si mette a cridà : « Sièu pas ièu. »
Aquela de la caissa
S’estouffa en la sièu graissa.

     Au Peoui cinema.
 The one who plays the music
As a result swallows his quid;
The boss, deader than alive,
Starts shouting: “It’s not me.”
The one of the cashdesk
Smothers in her fat.
There is laughing and playing matter
