Sleeping on the hill The shepherds, early in the morning, He wakened all of them: Hey! shepherds, get up! |

An ausi la nouvello Que li a di de la piéucello, E n’an vist pèr un trau Uno grand clartat en aut; Ravi d’aquelo glòri, Toutei sorton de la bòri, E chascun fai un saut, Houi! dessus lou coutau. | | They have heard the news He has said them about the virgin, And they saw through a hole [of the barn] A great light at the top; Delighted by this glory, They all go out from the cabin, And everyone does a jump, Hup! on the hillside. |
