This Christmas carol has been published on 1674 in the 8th book. It appears with number 58 in the Fr. Seguin’s new edition.

1st verse
Vos-tu qu’anen en Betelèn,
Aro que camines, que camines ben,
Vèire aquéu bèl enfant qu’es na,
Aro que camines, que camines ben,
Vèire aquéu bèl enfant qu’es na,
Aro que camines, que camines pla?
 Do you want we go to Bethlehem,
Now you walk, you walk well,
And see this handsome child who is just newly born,
Now you walk, you walk well,
And see this handsome child who is just newly born,
Now you walk, you walk easily?

2nd verse
Adouraren aquel enfant,
Coume tous leis autre (twice) fan;
E saren de brave garçoun,
Coume tous leis autre (twice) soun.
 We will worship this child,
As all the others (twice) do;
And we will be nice boys,
As all the others (twice) are.

3rd verse
Aquel enfant es un grand rèi,
Coume tout lou mounde (twice) crèi;
Es louja dins un cabanau,
Coume tout lou mounde (twice) saup.
 This child is a great king,
As all the people (twice) believe;
He lives in a small shed,
As all the people (twice) know.

4th verse
Soun loujamen n’es pas grand cas:
Ah! moun Diéu! lou paure (twice) jas!
N’i’a pas uno briso de fio!
Ah! moun Diéu! lou paure (twice) lio!
 His housing is not [a] great situation:
Ah! my God! the poor (twice) sheepfold!
There is not a bit fire!
Ah! my God! the poor (twice) place!

5th verse
Sus lou cubert n’i’a que de trau;
Lou lio n’es pas gaire (twice) caud;
Lou paure coucho sus lou sòu,
Soun lie n’es pas gaire (twice) mòu.
 On the roof there are only holes;
The place is not much (twice) warm;
The poor lies down on the ground,
His bed is not much (twice) soft.

6th verse
Ai! que faren d’aquest enfant?
Certos iéu lou plagne (twice) tan!
A lou visage coume un mort,
Certos iéu lou plagne (twice) fort!
 Ouch! what will we do with this child?
Certainly I feel sorry for him (twice) so!
His face is like the one of a dead,
Certainly I feel sorry for him (twice) strongly!
