Bouonjour, tu !
O tu, bèu printèm,
Rei dai flou, sourça dòu bèu tem
Qu’à Cimiès n’en revèn...
Anerèn, per lu Cougourdoun,
Calignà, fà lou merendoun
E finda lou perdoun.
Lou soulèu que vèn n’escauffà
Fa flouri rosa, mimosà.
Lou vin clar qu’ès dòu nouostre pahis
N’en vèn dòu paradis.
Mountèn damoun, ai Cougourdoun,
Per respetà la tradicioun.
Ma en calant, mé Madaloun,
Li canterèn una cansoun...
Voulèn festà aquèu printèm
Car l’amour noun dura qu’un tem
E à l’oumbra dai oulivié
Criderèn toui :
Viva Cimiès !
 Good morning, you!
O! You, beautiful spring,
King of the flowers, source of the fine weather
That, at Cimiez, comes back...
We will go, for the Cougourdoun,
And pay court, have a picnic
And even the atonement (1).
The sun that comes to warm us
Makes the roses and mimosa bloom.
The light wine (2) that’s from our country
Comes from paradise.
We go up there, at Cougourdoun,
To respect the tradition.
But when going down, with Magdalen,
We will sing her a song...
We want to celebrate this spring
Because love doesn’t last
And in the shade of the olive trees
We all will shout:
Long live Cimiez!

1. The secular feast was joined to a religious feast. The forgiveness corresponds to the remission of misdeeds or sins committed during the preceding year, since previous feast of Small Gourds.
