Adam l’avié desirado
E sa moulié fort lontèm.
Viven urous e countènt, bregado,

Let’s live happy and glad, shepherds,
Let’s live happy and glad!
Since this afternoon
Brings us the good eternity (1).
Let’s live happy and glad, shepherds,
Let’s live happy and glad!

Adam wanted this
And his wife [for] a long time.
Let’s live happy and glad, shepherds,
Let’s live happy and glad!

2nd verse
Viven urous e countènt, bregado,

Viven urous e countènt, bregado,

Let’s live happy and glad, shepherds,
Let’s live happy and glad!
What an unfortunate daytime
Had made the nice people!
Let’s live happy and glad, shepherds,
Let’s live happy and glad!

They had do the washing,
They all had [put] something.
Let’s live happy and glad, shepherds,
Let’s live happy and glad!

3rd verse
Viven...
Èvo l’avié proun lavado,
Mai sèns soulèu se fai rèn.
Viven...

Crese que l’an bèn gardado,
Aro soulamen s’estènd.

 Let’s live...
Eve had quickly washed it,
But whitout sun nothing could be done.
Let’s live...

I think they have well kept it,
Then only it hangs out.
Let’s live...

4th verse
Viven...
Sara bèn lèu eissugado
À bon soulèu e bon vènt.
Viven...

Es quàsi deja plegado :
Prenen chascun noste bèn.
Viven...
 Let’s live...
It will be soon dried
At good sun and good wind.
Let’s live...

It is nearly already folded up:
Let’s take everybody our property.
Let’s live...

1. Toustèms means always, eternally, forever.
