The liturgical music

Liturgical music includes all the pieces, sung or played, used during the services and the processions, which accompany and give a particular splendour to the liturgy, such as canticles. The religious songs are inspired by a religious theme, but don’t participate directly to the services. Christmas carols are part of this second category.
